Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.36

द्यूतं छलयतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम्। जयोऽस्मि व्यवसायोऽस्मि सत्त्वं सत्त्ववतामहम्॥

dyūtaṁ chhalayatām asmi tejas tejasvinām aham jayo ’smi vyavasāyo ’smi sattvaṁ sattvavatām aham

Translation

I am the gambling of the cheat, and the splendour of splendid things I; I am victory, I am determination, and the truth of the truthful I.

What it means

I am the gambling of cheats and the splendor of the splendid; I am victory, I am resolve, I am the goodness of the good. Even cunning is claimed, leaving no corner for a second power. One force wears every mask.

Try this today

Even the trickster's cunning is claimed - nothing lies outside; and alongside it, victory, resolve, goodness.

Something to reflect on

Do I believe one force wears every mask - even the trickster's?
