Bhagavad Gita 11.33
tasmāt tvam uttiṣhṭha yaśho labhasva jitvā śhatrūn bhuṅkṣhva rājyaṁ samṛiddham mayaivaite nihatāḥ pūrvam eva nimitta-mātraṁ bhava savya-sāchin
Translation
Therefore stand up! win for thyself renown, Conquer thy foes, enjoy the wealth filled realm, By Me they are already overcome, Be thou the outward cause, left-handed one.
What it means
Therefore arise and win glory; conquering foes, enjoy a prosperous kingdom; by Me they are already slain; be merely the instrument, O Savyasachi. The counsel of the vision: act as the instrument; the outcome is not yours to carry.
Try this today
The command of the chapter: act, because action is yours; release the outcome, because the outcome is already written.
Something to reflect on
What would I do differently if I knew I was the instrument, not the author?
