Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.15

शरीरवाङ्मनोभिर्यत्कर्म प्रारभते नरः।न्याय्यं वा विपरीतं वा पञ्चैते तस्य हेतवः॥

śharīra-vāṅ-manobhir yat karma prārabhate naraḥ nyāyyaṁ vā viparītaṁ vā pañchaite tasya hetavaḥ

Translation

Whatever action a man performeth by his body, speech and mind, whether right or the reverse, these five are the cause thereof.

What it means

Whatever action one performs with body, speech or mind, right or wrong, these five are its cause. The rule is universal. Nothing we do is ever solo work.

Try this today

Every deed, good or bad, is a five-factor product - never a solo performance.

Something to reflect on

Can I recount a bad act of mine as five-factor, and does that change the sentence?
