Bhagavad Gita 2.19
Translation
He who regardeth this as a slayer, and he who thinketh he is slain, both of them are ignorant. He slayeth not, nor is he slain.
What it means
One who thinks the Self kills, and one who thinks it is killed, both fail to know: the Self neither kills nor is killed. Sastri: both errors assign agency and objecthood to what is immutable.
Try this today
Violence touches bodies and roles, not the deepest identity of anyone involved.
Something to reflect on
Whom have I reduced to what was done to them, or to what they did?
