The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.1

मय्यासक्तमनाः पार्थ योगं युञ्जन्मदाश्रयः। असंशयं समग्रं मां यथा ज्ञास्यसि तच्छृणु॥

śhrī bhagavān uvācha mayyāsakta-manāḥ pārtha yogaṁ yuñjan mad-āśhrayaḥ asanśhayaṁ samagraṁ māṁ yathā jñāsyasi tach chhṛiṇu

Translation

The Blessed Lord said: With the mind clinging to me, O Pârtha, performing yoga, refuged in Me, how thou shalt without doubt know Me to the uttermost, that hear thou.

What it means

With mind attached to Me, practicing yoga, taking refuge in Me: hear how you shall know Me completely, without doubt. Krishna sets the terms: complete knowledge is possible, and devotion is the method.

Try this today

The chapter opens with the method for complete understanding: attachment redirected entirely toward the divine.

Something to reflect on

What would happen if I aimed my strongest attachment at the highest thing instead of the nearest?
