The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.23

अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्। देवान्देवयजो यान्ति मद्भक्ता यान्ति मामपि॥

antavat tu phalaṁ teṣhāṁ tad bhavatyalpa-medhasām devān deva-yajo yānti mad-bhaktā yānti mām api

Translation

Finite indeed the fruit that belongeth to those who are of small intelligence. To the Shining Ones go the worshippers of the Shining Ones, but my devotees come unto Me.

What it means

But the fruit of the small-minded is finite: worshippers of the gods go to the gods; My devotees come to Me. Every path pays exactly what it promises. Only the infinite pays infinitely.

Try this today

The ceiling principle: the size of the goal caps the size of the result.

Something to reflect on

What is the actual size of what I am asking for?
