Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.18

विस्तरेणात्मनो योगं विभूतिं च जनार्दन। भूयः कथय तृप्तिर्हि श्रृण्वतो नास्ति मेऽमृतम्॥

vistareṇātmano yogaṁ vibhūtiṁ cha janārdana bhūyaḥ kathaya tṛiptir hi śhṛiṇvato nāsti me ’mṛitam

Translation

In detail tell me again of Thy yoga and glory, O Janardana; for me there is never satiety in hearing thy life-giving words.

What it means

Tell me again, in detail, of Your power and glory, for I am never satiated hearing Your nectar-like words. Appetite for the teaching is itself a sign of readiness. Insatiability here is a virtue.

Try this today

Insatiable listening named as a virtue: the right nourishment creates appetite, not boredom.

Something to reflect on

What nourishment increases my appetite instead of ending it?
