Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.2

Translation

The multitude of the Shining Ones, or the great Rishis, know not my forthcoming, for I am the beginning of all the Shining Ones and the great Rishis.

What it means

Neither the hosts of gods nor the great sages know My origin, for I am the beginning of the gods and the great sages. The source cannot be derived from what flows from it. Every witness is downstream.

Try this today

The source precedes its knowers: what gives everything its start cannot be known from downstream.

Something to reflect on

What upstream source am I trying to know from downstream evidence only?
