Bhagavad Gita 11.53
नाहं वेदैर्न तपसा न दानेन न चेज्यया। शक्य एवंविधो द्रष्टुं दृष्टवानसि मां यथा॥
nāhaṁ vedair na tapasā na dānena na chejyayā śhakya evaṁ-vidho draṣhṭuṁ dṛiṣhṭavān asi māṁ yathā
Translation
Nor can I be seen as thou hast seen Me by the Vedas, nor by austerities, nor by alms, or by offerings;
What it means
Not by the Vedas, austerity, gifts or sacrifice can I be seen in the way you have seen Me. The negations repeat to close every merit-based door. Something else must open it, named next.
Try this today
The gateless gate repeated: no technique purchases the vision.
Something to reflect on
Which door in my life has no technique - only the right relationship opens it?
