The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.7

इहैकस्थं जगत्कृत्स्नं पश्याद्य सचराचरम्। मम देहे गुडाकेश यच्चान्यद्द्रष्टुमिच्छसि॥

ihaika-sthaṁ jagat kṛitsnaṁ paśhyādya sa-charācharam mama dehe guḍākeśha yach chānyad draṣhṭum ichchhasi

Translation

Here, to-day, behold the whole universe, movable and immovable, standing in one in My body, O Gudâkesha, with aught else thou desirest to see.

What it means

Here, today, see the whole universe, moving and unmoving, standing in one place in My body, and whatever else you wish to see. Totality is offered in a single view. The container of all things is revealed as a Person.

Try this today

The whole cosmos located in one body: totality made visible at a point.

Something to reflect on

Can I imagine the whole of my world held in one place - and what holds it?
