Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 11

Bhagavad Gita 11.8

न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा। दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम्॥

na tu māṁ śhakyase draṣhṭum anenaiva sva-chakṣhuṣhā divyaṁ dadāmi te chakṣhuḥ paśhya me yogam aiśhwaram

Translation

But verily thou art not able to behold Me with these thine eyes; the divine eye I give unto thee. Behold My sovereign Yoga.

What it means

But you cannot see Me with these eyes of yours; I give you the divine eye: behold My sovereign yoga. Ordinary equipment cannot register the infinite. A new faculty is granted for a new scale of reality.

Try this today

The crucial precondition: new organs for a new scale of sight. Ordinary perception is the wrong instrument.

Something to reflect on

What am I trying to see with an instrument that cannot register it?
