Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 12

Bhagavad Gita 12.17

Translation

He who neither loveth nor hateth, nor grieveth, nor desireth, renouncing good and evil, full of devotion, he is dear to Me.

What it means

Who neither rejoices nor hates, neither grieves nor desires, who has let go of both good and bad fortune, and is full of devotion: dear to Me. Evenness is not coldness; it is held together by devotion. Without love, this list would be numbness; with love, it is peace.

Try this today

The four renunciations of reaction: celebration, hatred, grief, craving - all leveled into devotion.

Something to reflect on

Which reaction - celebration, hatred, grief, craving - runs strongest in me?
