The Gita · Chapter 13

Bhagavad Gita 13.10

मयि चानन्ययोगेन भक्ितरव्यभिचारिणी।विविक्तदेशसेवित्वमरतिर्जनसंसदि॥

mayi chānanya-yogena bhaktir avyabhichāriṇī vivikta-deśha-sevitvam aratir jana-sansadi

Translation

Unflinching devotion to Me by yoga, without other objects, resort to sequestered places, absence of enjoyment in the company of men,

What it means

Unwavering devotion to Me with single-minded yoga, resort to solitary places, distaste for crowds. The list includes devotion and solitude together. Depth needs quiet; love needs a single direction.

Try this today

Single-object devotion, appetite for solitude, indifference to the crowd's noise.

Something to reflect on

Where is my quiet place, and what is my one direction?
