The Gita · Chapter 13

Bhagavad Gita 13.17

ज्योतिषामपि तज्ज्योतिस्तमसः परमुच्यते।ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं ज्ञानगम्यं हृदि सर्वस्य विष्ठितम्॥

jyotiṣhām api taj jyotis tamasaḥ param uchyate jñānaṁ jñeyaṁ jñāna-gamyaṁ hṛidi sarvasya viṣhṭhitam

Translation

That, the Light of all lights, is said to be beyond darkness; Wisdom, the Object of Wisdom, by Wisdom to be reached, seated in the hearts of all.

What it means

The light of lights, said to be beyond darkness: knowledge, the object of knowledge, and reachable by knowledge, seated in the heart of all. The innermost place is named as the address. What you seek with the mind lives behind the mind.

Try this today

The triple identification: the means, the goal and the path are one - and it sits in every heart.

Something to reflect on

What if the means, the path and the goal of my seeking were one thing?
