The Gita · Chapter 13

Bhagavad Gita 13.33

यथा प्रकाशयत्येकः कृत्स्नं लोकमिमं रविः।क्षेत्रं क्षेत्री तथा कृत्स्नं प्रकाशयति भारत॥

yathā prakāśhayaty ekaḥ kṛitsnaṁ lokam imaṁ raviḥ kṣhetraṁ kṣhetrī tathā kṛitsnaṁ prakāśhayati bhārata

Translation

As the one sun illumineth the whole earth, so the Lord of the Field illumineth the whole Field, O Bhârata.

What it means

As the one sun illumines the whole world, so the Lord of the field illumines the entire field. One awareness lights every experience. The variety is in the lit objects, never in the light.

Try this today

One sun, whole field: the knower's light covers the entire domain of the known.

Something to reflect on

Do I credit the light or the lit objects for my experience?
