Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 13

Bhagavad Gita 13.32

यथा सर्वगतं सौक्ष्म्यादाकाशं नोपलिप्यते।सर्वत्रावस्थितो देहे तथाऽऽत्मा नोपलिप्यते॥

yathā sarva-gataṁ saukṣhmyād ākāśhaṁ nopalipyate sarvatrāvasthito dehe tathātmā nopalipyate

Translation

As the omnipresent ether is not affected, by reason of its subtlety, so seated everywhere in the body the Self is not affected.

What it means

As the all-pervading ether, by its subtlety, is not stained, so the Self, though seated everywhere in the body, is not stained. Subtlety is the reason purity survives contact. What is finer than everything is touched by nothing.

Try this today

The ether comparison: pervasion without contamination.

Something to reflect on

What in me has contacted every experience yet been touched by none?
