Bhagavad Gita 13.4

ऋषिभिर्बहुधा गीतं छन्दोभिर्विविधैः पृथक्।ब्रह्मसूत्रपदैश्चैव हेतुमद्भिर्विनिश्िचतैः॥

ṛiṣhibhir bahudhā gītaṁ chhandobhir vividhaiḥ pṛithak brahma-sūtra-padaiśh chaiva hetumadbhir viniśhchitaiḥ

Translation

Rishis have sung in manifold ways, in many various chants, and in decisive Brahma-sûtra verses full of reasonings.

What it means

The seers have sung of this in many ways, in various hymns and in reasoned aphorisms concerning the Eternal. The teaching cites its tradition: many voices, one subject. Truth here has always been approached from several directions.

Try this today

Krishna cites the tradition: this is established doctrine, argued across centuries.

Something to reflect on

Do I let a truth be approached from several directions, or only my direction?
