The Gita · Chapter 15

Bhagavad Gita 15.6

न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावकः।यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम॥

na tad bhāsayate sūryo na śhaśhāṅko na pāvakaḥ yad gatvā na nivartante tad dhāma paramaṁ mama

Translation

Nor doth the sun lighten there, nor moon, nor fire; having gone thither they return not; that is My supreme abode.

What it means

The sun does not light that place, nor the moon, nor fire; having gone there, none return; that is My supreme abode. A self-luminous realm is indicated by negatives. No borrowed light is needed where the source lives.

Try this today

The self-luminous destination: no borrowed light, no return ticket needed.

Something to reflect on

What in my life needs no borrowed light?
