The Gita · Chapter 17

Bhagavad Gita 17.25

तदित्यनभिसन्धाय फलं यज्ञतपःक्रियाः।दानक्रियाश्च विविधाः क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षि॥

tad ity anabhisandhāya phalaṁ yajña-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ dāna-kriyāśh cha vividhāḥ kriyante mokṣha-kāṅkṣhibhiḥ

Translation

With the pronunciation of " Tat " and without aiming at fruit are performed the various acts of sacrifice, austerity and gift, by those desiring liberation.

What it means

With the utterance of Tat, "That," are performed acts of sacrifice, austerity and gift by those seeking liberation, without aiming at fruits. The word "That" loosens ownership. Offered to That, the act no longer belongs to the doer.

Try this today

Tat dedicates: 'That' - the act handed over, result unsigned.

Something to reflect on

Can I sign my work over to 'That' and stop checking for acknowledgment?
