The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.10

न द्वेष्ट्यकुशलं कर्म कुशले नानुषज्जते।त्यागी सत्त्वसमाविष्टो मेधावी छिन्नसंशयः॥

na dveṣhṭy akuśhalaṁ karma kuśhale nānuṣhajjate tyāgī sattva-samāviṣhṭo medhāvī chhinna-sanśhayaḥ

Translation

The relinquisher pervaded by purity, intelligent and with doubts cut away, hateth not unpleasurable action nor is attached to pleasurable.

What it means

The relinquisher steeped in purity, intelligent, doubts cut away, does not shrink from unpleasant action nor cling to pleasant action. The test is taste-neutrality toward the work itself. Duty is done regardless of flavor.

Try this today

The mature worker's signature: preference no longer selects the work.

Something to reflect on

Does preference still select my work - only pleasant tasks done, others delayed?
