Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.45

स्वे स्वे कर्मण्यभिरतः संसिद्धिं लभते नरः।स्वकर्मनिरतः सिद्धिं यथा विन्दति तच्छृणु॥

sve sve karmaṇy abhirataḥ sansiddhiṁ labhate naraḥ sva-karma-nirataḥ siddhiṁ yathā vindati tach chhṛiṇu

Translation

Man reacheth perfection by each being intent on his own duty. Listen thou how perfection is won by him who is intent on his own duty.

What it means

Devoted to one's own duty, a person attains perfection; hear how one devoted to one's own duty finds that perfection. The path to the highest runs through the assigned work. Perfection is not imported from someone else's life.

Try this today

Perfection through fit: the road to the highest runs through your own nature's work.

Something to reflect on

What would perfection through my own work look like - not someone else's template?
