The Gita · Chapter 18

Bhagavad Gita 18.72

कच्चिदेतच्छ्रुतं पार्थ त्वयैकाग्रेण चेतसा।कच्चिदज्ञानसंमोहः प्रनष्टस्ते धनञ्जय॥

kachchid etach chhrutaṁ pārtha tvayaikāgreṇa chetasā kachchid ajñāna-sammohaḥ pranaṣhṭas te dhanañjaya

Translation

Hath this been heard, O son of Prithâ, with one-pointed mind? Has thy delusion, caused by unwisdom, been destroyed, O Dhananjaya?

What it means

Has this been heard by you with a single-pointed mind, O Partha? Has the delusion born of ignorance been destroyed, O Dhananjaya? The teacher ends by checking the student's state. The final question is not "do you agree" but "are you free."

Try this today

Krishna's final question: two checks - did you actually listen, and is the confusion actually gone?

Something to reflect on

If asked 'did you actually listen, and is the confusion gone' - what would I answer?
