Bhagavad Gita 2.11
अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे। गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः॥
śhrī bhagavān uvācha aśhochyān-anvaśhochas-tvaṁ prajñā-vādānśh cha bhāṣhase gatāsūn-agatāsūnśh-cha nānuśhochanti paṇḍitāḥ
Translation
The Blessed Lord said: Thou grievest for those that should not be griev ed for, yet speakest words of wisdom. The wise grieve neither for the living nor for the dead.
What it means
"Thou grievest for those who should not be grieved for, yet speakest words of wisdom." Krishna's verdict: Arjuna's language is wise but his understanding is not. The wise grieve neither for the living nor the dead, because they know what truly dies and what does not.
Try this today
Krishna's first thesis: Arjuna's grief misfires even though his words sound wise. Eloquent worry is still worry.
Something to reflect on
Where does my intelligence serve my fear instead of my judgment?
