Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 2

Bhagavad Gita 2.31

स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि। धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाछ्रेयोऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते॥

swa-dharmam api chāvekṣhya na vikampitum arhasi dharmyāddhi yuddhāch chhreyo ’nyat kṣhatriyasya na vidyate

Translation

Further, looking to thine own duty thou shouldst not tremble; for there is nothing more welcome to a Kshattriya than righteous war.

What it means

Now the second argument: look to your own duty. For a Kshatriya nothing is more welcome than a righteous war. Duty is not generic; it is shaped by who you are, where you stand, and what the moment asks.

Try this today

Krishna's second argument: swadharma - your own role and duty. A duty that fits your station and is just is not a trap but a path.

Something to reflect on

What hard duty fits my actual role so exactly that refusing it betrays who I am?
