The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.17

Translation

But the man who rejoiceth in the Self, with the Self is satisfied, and is content in the Self, for him verily there is nothing to do;

What it means

But the person who delights in the Self, satisfied and content in the Self alone, has nothing that must be done. Completeness ends compulsion. Such a one acts, if at all, from fullness rather than need.

Try this today

The one exception to the duty of action: the fully Self-contented person, for whom work is no longer owed.

Something to reflect on

If nothing were owed to anyone, what would I do from fullness instead of need?
