Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 3

Bhagavad Gita 3.21

यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जनः। स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते॥

yad yad ācharati śhreṣhṭhas tat tad evetaro janaḥ sa yat pramāṇaṁ kurute lokas tad anuvartate

Translation

Whatsoever a great man doeth, that other men also do; the standard he setteth up, by that the people go.

What it means

Whatever a great person does, others do; people follow the standard they set. Example is the loudest teaching. Every visible life is silently instructing someone.

Try this today

The modeling principle: prominence multiplies behavior. Leadership is teaching whether intended or not.

Something to reflect on

What behavior of mine would I not want copied tenfold?
