Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.27

सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे। आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपिते॥

sarvāṇīndriya-karmāṇi prāṇa-karmāṇi chāpare ātma-sanyama-yogāgnau juhvati jñāna-dīpite

Translation

Others again into the wisdom-kindled fire of union attained by self-control, pour as sacrifice all the functions of the senses and the functions of life;

What it means

Others offer all functions of the senses and of life-breath into the knowledge-kindled fire of self-mastery. Every biological process can become deliberate offering. Nothing in human life is excluded from the path.

Try this today

The complete version: every biological and mental function consciously dedicated. Nothing left outside the practice.

Something to reflect on

Which automatic function - eating, breathing, scrolling - could I make deliberate?
