Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.3

स एवायं मया तेऽद्य योगः प्रोक्तः पुरातनः। भक्तोऽसि मे सखा चेति रहस्यं ह्येतदुत्तमम्॥

sa evāyaṁ mayā te ’dya yogaḥ proktaḥ purātanaḥ bhakto ’si me sakhā cheti rahasyaṁ hyetad uttamam

Translation

This same ancient yoga hath been to-day declared to thee by Me, for thou art My devotee and My friend; it is the supreme Secret.

What it means

"This ancient yoga I declare to you today, because you are My devotee and friend; it is the supreme secret." The transmission is personal. The deepest teaching travels along the line of love and trust, not mere study.

Try this today

The teaching is restored because the student is ready and the relationship is one of trust.

Something to reflect on

Whom do I trust enough to receive what study alone cannot give?
