Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 4

Bhagavad Gita 4.30

अपरे नियताहाराः प्राणान्प्राणेषु जुह्वति। सर्वेऽप्येते यज्ञविदो यज्ञक्षपितकल्मषाः॥

apare niyatāhārāḥ prāṇān prāṇeṣu juhvati sarve py 'ete yajña-vido yajña-kṣapita-kalmaṣāḥ

Translation

Others regular in food, pour as sacrifice their life-breaths in life-breaths. All these are knowers of sacrifice, and by sacrifice have destroyed their sins.

What it means

Others, regulated in food, offer life-breaths into life-breaths. All these know sacrifice and destroy their faults through it. The variety is the message: many doors, one house.

Try this today

Even diet discipline joins the list: the point is conscious governance of the life-processes, whatever the lever.

Something to reflect on

Which appetite, governed consciously, would change everything downstream?
