Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 5

Bhagavad Gita 5.12

युक्तः कर्मफलं त्यक्त्वा शान्तिमाप्नोति नैष्ठिकीम्। अयुक्तः कामकारेण फले सक्तो निबध्यते॥

yuktaḥ karma-phalaṁ tyaktvā śhāntim āpnoti naiṣhṭhikīm ayuktaḥ kāma-kāreṇa phale sakto nibadhyate

Translation

The harmonised man, having abandoned the fruit of action, attaineth to the eternal Peace; the non-harmonised, impelled by desire, attached to fruit, are bound.

What it means

The harmonized, abandoning the fruit of action, attain lasting peace; the unharmonized, driven by desire and attached to fruit, are bound. Same labor market, two economies: one trades effort for peace, the other for more craving.

Try this today

Two workers, two fates: peace versus bondage, decided entirely by the relationship to results.

Something to reflect on

Which economy am I trading in today - effort for peace, or effort for more craving?
