The Gita · Chapter 5

Bhagavad Gita 5.3

Translation

He should be known as a perpetual ascetic, who neither hateth nor desireth; free from the pairs of opposites, O mighty-armed, he is easily set free from bondage.

What it means

The true perpetual renouncer is the one who neither hates nor desires, free of the pairs of opposites; such a one is easily freed. Renunciation is redefined as an inner state, not an outer costume.

Try this today

Real renunciation is an inner condition - no hate, no craving - not an outer address. You can be a renouncer in an office.

Something to reflect on

Can I renounce the craving while keeping the role?
