Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.20

यत्रोपरमते चित्तं निरुद्धं योगसेवया। यत्र चैवात्मनाऽऽत्मानं पश्यन्नात्मनि तुष्यति॥

yatroparamate chittaṁ niruddhaṁ yoga-sevayā yatra chaivātmanātmānaṁ paśhyann ātmani tuṣhyati

Translation

That in which the mind finds rest, quieted by the practice of yoga: that in which he, seeing the Self by the Self, in the Self is satisfied;

What it means

When the mind, quieted by practice, comes to rest; when one, seeing the Self by the Self, is satisfied in the Self. Satisfaction needs no external verification. The Self, once seen, is self-evidently enough.

Try this today

The resting place described: thought quiets, perception turns inward, satisfaction closes the loop.

Something to reflect on

What satisfaction in my life required no external confirmation?
