Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.29

सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि। ईक्षते योगयुक्तात्मा सर्वत्र समदर्शनः॥

sarva-bhūta-stham ātmānaṁ sarva-bhūtāni chātmani īkṣhate yoga-yuktātmā sarvatra sama-darśhanaḥ

Translation

The self, harmonised by yoga, seeth the Self abiding in all beings, all beings in the Self; everywhere he seeth the same.

What it means

Harmonized by yoga, one sees the Self in all beings and all beings in the Self; one sees the same everywhere. The fruit of meditation is social: a single Self looking out of every face. Separation was the illusion.

Try this today

Perception transformed: the boundary between self and others thins into transparency.

Something to reflect on

When did a stranger's face briefly feel not separate from me?
