The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.40

पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते। नहि कल्याणकृत्कश्िचद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति॥

śhrī bhagavān uvācha pārtha naiveha nāmutra vināśhas tasya vidyate na hi kalyāṇa-kṛit kaśhchid durgatiṁ tāta gachchhati

Translation

The Blessed Lord said: O son of Prithâ, neither in this world nor in the life to come is there destruction for him; never doth any who worketh righteousness, O beloved, tread the path of woe.

What it means

Neither here nor hereafter is there destruction for such a one; no one who does good ever comes to a bad end. The answer is absolute. Spiritual effort is never a loss in any ledger.

Try this today

The great reassurance: sincere effort is never wasted or punished, even when incomplete.

Something to reflect on

Can I act as if no sincere effort is ever lost - and see what I stop fearing?
