Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 6

Bhagavad Gita 6.45

प्रयत्नाद्यतमानस्तु योगी संशुद्धकिल्बिषः। अनेकजन्मसंसिद्धस्ततो याति परां गतिम्॥

prayatnād yatamānas tu yogī sanśhuddha-kilbiṣhaḥ aneka-janma-sansiddhas tato yāti parāṁ gatim

Translation

But the Yogî, labouring with assiduity, purified from sin, fully perfected through manifold births, he reacheth the supreme goal.

What it means

But the yogi who strives with diligence, purified of stains, perfected through many lives, then reaches the supreme goal. The timeline is generous and the outcome assured. Perfection is cumulative across lifetimes.

Try this today

The long arc: perfection may take lifetimes of compounded effort - and that is normal, not failure.

Something to reflect on

Can I take the long arc seriously - compounding effort without demanding the finish line?
