The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.19

बहूनां जन्मनामन्ते ज्ञानवान्मां प्रपद्यते। वासुदेवः सर्वमिति स महात्मा सुदुर्लभः॥

bahūnāṁ janmanām ante jñānavān māṁ prapadyate vāsudevaḥ sarvam iti sa mahātmā su-durlabhaḥ

Translation

At the close of many births the man full of wisdom cometh unto Me; "Vâsudeva is all." saith he, the Mahâtmâ, very difficult to find.

What it means

At the end of many births, the wise one comes to Me: "Vasudeva is all," says that great soul, very hard to find. The summary of all wisdom is one sentence. Seeing everything as the Divine is the rarest attainment.

Try this today

The conclusion that takes lifetimes: everything is the One. Rarity acknowledged, not demanded.

Something to reflect on

Could I ever honestly say 'all of this is one thing' - and what stops me?
