Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 7

Bhagavad Gita 7.3

मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्िचद्यतति सिद्धये। यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्िचन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः॥

manuṣhyāṇāṁ sahasreṣhu kaśhchid yatati siddhaye yatatām api siddhānāṁ kaśhchin māṁ vetti tattvataḥ

Translation

Among thousands of men scarce one striveth for perfection; of the successful strivers scarce one knoweth Me in essence.

What it means

Among thousands, hardly one strives for perfection; among striving and successful ones, hardly one knows Me in essence. Rarity is stated without discouragement. The fewness of travelers says something about the road, not the destination.

Try this today

The funnel of seriousness: many live, few strive, fewer understand. No condemnation - just arithmetic.

Something to reflect on

Where am I in the funnel: living, striving, or understanding?
