Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 8

Bhagavad Gita 8.15

मामुपेत्य पुनर्जन्म दुःखालयमशाश्वतम्। नाप्नुवन्ति महात्मानः संसिद्धिं परमां गताः॥

mām upetya punar janma duḥkhālayam aśhāśhvatam nāpnuvanti mahātmānaḥ sansiddhiṁ paramāṁ gatāḥ

Translation

Having come to Me, these Mahâtmâs come not again to birth, the place of pain, non-eternal; they have gone to the highest bliss.

What it means

Having come to Me, these great souls do not return to rebirth, the home of suffering and impermanence; they have reached the highest fulfillment. The contrast is final: a realm of repetition versus an end of return.

Try this today

Arrival ends the cycle: the destination is defined by what you no longer return to.

Something to reflect on

What cycle in my life would I most want to not return to?
