The Gita · Chapter 8

Bhagavad Gita 8.21

अव्यक्तोऽक्षर इत्युक्तस्तमाहुः परमां गतिम्। यं प्राप्य न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम॥

avyakto ’kṣhara ityuktas tam āhuḥ paramāṁ gatim yaṁ prāpya na nivartante tad dhāma paramaṁ mama

Translation

That unmanifested, "the Indestructible," It is called; It is named the highest Path. They who reach It return not. That is My supreme abode.

What it means

That Unmanifest is called the Indestructible, the highest goal; reaching it, none returns. That is My supreme abode. The address of the Divine is permanence itself.

Try this today

The final address: beyond all worlds and cycles, the destination from which there is no return journey.

Something to reflect on

Which destination of mine is a place I would return from, and which is home?
