The Gita · Chapter 8

Bhagavad Gita 8.20

परस्तस्मात्तु भावोऽन्योऽव्यक्तोऽव्यक्तात्सनातनः। यः स सर्वेषु भूतेषु नश्यत्सु न विनश्यति॥

paras tasmāt tu bhāvo ’nyo ’vyakto ’vyaktāt sanātanaḥ yaḥ sa sarveṣhu bhūteṣhu naśhyatsu na vinaśhyati

Translation

Therefore verily there existeth, higher than that unmanifested, another unmanifested, eternal, which in the destroying of all beings, is not destroyed.

What it means

But higher than that unmanifest is another Unmanifest, eternal, which is not destroyed when all beings are destroyed. Beyond the cosmic storage stands what storage cannot hold. The truly permanent is introduced.

Try this today

Behind the cycle stands what never cycles: the unborn backdrop to all births.

Something to reflect on

What in my experience never cycles - not even once?
