The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.15

ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते। एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम्॥

jñāna-yajñena chāpyanye yajanto mām upāsate ekatvena pṛithaktvena bahudhā viśhvato-mukham

Translation

Others also, sacrificing with the sacrifice of wisdom, worship Me as the One and the Manifold everywhere present.

What it means

Others, sacrificing with the sacrifice of knowledge, worship Me as one, as distinct, or as the manifold facing every way. Even the approaches are plural. The Gita blesses both the nondual and the devotional reading of reality.

Try this today

Multiple valid theologies acknowledged: unity, diversity, omnipresence - all count as worship.

Something to reflect on

Can I honor a reading of reality that is not mine - one, many, or everywhere-present?
