Bhagavad Gita 9.24
Translation
I am indeed the enjoyer of all sacrifices and also the Lord, but they know Me not in Essence, and hence they fall.
What it means
For I am the enjoyer and lord of all sacrifices; but they do not know Me in essence, and so they fall. Results slip when the recipient is misidentified. Knowing who ultimately receives transforms the act.
