Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 9

Bhagavad Gita 9.7

सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम्। कल्पक्षये पुनस्तानि कल्पादौ विसृजाम्यहम्॥

sarva-bhūtāni kaunteya prakṛitiṁ yānti māmikām kalpa-kṣhaye punas tāni kalpādau visṛijāmyaham

Translation

All beings, O Kaunteya, enter my lower nature at the end of a world-age; at the beginning of a world-age again I emanate them.

What it means

All beings enter My nature at the end of a world-age; at the start of a new age I send them forth again. The universe has phases of rest and expression. Nothing is ever finally lost between them.

Try this today

The cosmic rhythm restated: dissolution and emanation, breathing at the largest scale.

Something to reflect on

What rhythms of rest and expression run my own life, and am I fighting them?
