Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 1

Bhagavad Gita 1.30

Translation

Gândîva slips from my hand, and my skin burns all over, I am not able to stand, my mind is whirling,

What it means

His bow slips from his hand, his skin burns, his mind whirls. The celebrated archer cannot hold his weapon. When identity and duty collide, even trained competence deserts a person until the deeper question is answered.

Try this today

Stress now costs him his tool - the bow of a warrior. Overwhelm first takes away exactly the capability the moment demands.

Something to reflect on

What is my 'bow' - the core skill stress takes from me - and how do I protect it?
