Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 1

Bhagavad Gita 1.31

Translation

And I see adverse omens, O Keshava. Nor do I foresee any advantage from slaying kinsmen in battle.

What it means

Arjuna reads adverse omens and sees no good in killing kinsmen. A mind in crisis reaches for signs to justify what it already feels. The Gita will answer not the omens but the underlying confusion about duty and self.

Try this today

Distress starts interpreting the world: omens appear when the mind seeks reasons to stop.

Something to reflect on

Are the reasons I see for quitting real, or generated by my fear?
