Bhagavad Gita 1.4

अत्र शूरा महेष्वासा भीमार्जुनसमा युधि। युयुधानो विराटश्च द्रुपदश्च महारथः॥

atra śhūrā maheṣhvāsā bhīmārjuna-samā yudhi yuyudhāno virāṭaśhcha drupadaśhcha mahā-rathaḥ

Translation

Heroes are these, mighty bowmen, to Bhîma and Arjuna equal in battle: Yuyudhâna, Virâta, and Drupada of the great car.

What it means

Duryodhana begins listing the Pandava champions, great bowmen equal to Bhima and Arjuna. Naming enemy strength is partly honest assessment, partly self-reassurance. When we catalogue threats aloud, we are often really measuring our own courage.

Try this today

He is doing an honest inventory of the opposition. Knowing the other side's real strength is the start of any serious strategy.

Something to reflect on

Do I assess challenges as they actually are, or as I wish them to be?
