The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.26

अश्वत्थः सर्ववृक्षाणां देवर्षीणां च नारदः। गन्धर्वाणां चित्ररथः सिद्धानां कपिलो मुनिः॥

aśhvatthaḥ sarva-vṛikṣhāṇāṁ devarṣhīṇāṁ cha nāradaḥ gandharvāṇāṁ chitrarathaḥ siddhānāṁ kapilo muniḥ

Translation

Asvattha of all tree; and of divine Rishis Nârada; of Gandharvas Chitraratha; of the perfected the Muni Kapila.

What it means

Among trees, the sacred fig; among divine sages, Narada; among celestial musicians, Chitraratha; among the perfected, the sage Kapila. Roots, song and realization each have their exemplar. The world is being re-read as a temple of instances.

Try this today

Tree, sage, musician, saint - the peaks of their kinds.

Something to reflect on

Where do rootedness, song and realization each peak in my world?
