Bhagavad Gita 10.31

पवनः पवतामस्मि रामः शस्त्रभृतामहम्। झषाणां मकरश्चास्मि स्रोतसामस्मि जाह्नवी॥

pavanaḥ pavatām asmi rāmaḥ śhastra-bhṛitām aham jhaṣhāṇāṁ makaraśh chāsmi srotasām asmi jāhnavī

Translation

Of purifiers I am the wind; Rama of warriors I; and I am Makara of fishes; of streams the Ganga am I.

What it means

Among purifiers, the wind; among warriors, Rama; among fishes, the makara; among rivers, the Ganga. Cleansing, righteousness and sacred flow are personified. Purity and power are both divine gestures.

Try this today

Purification itself listed - the wind that cleans - and the river that sanctifies.

Something to reflect on

What purifies in my life like wind - moving through, leaving things cleaner?
