The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.39

यच्चापि सर्वभूतानां बीजं तदहमर्जुन। न तदस्ति विना यत्स्यान्मया भूतं चराचरम्॥

yach chāpi sarva-bhūtānāṁ bījaṁ tad aham arjuna na tad asti vinā yat syān mayā bhūtaṁ charācharam

Translation

And whatsoever is the seed of all beings, that am I, O Arjuna; nor is there aught, moving or unmoving, that may exist bereft of Me.

What it means

Whatever is the seed of all beings, that am I; there is nothing, moving or unmoving, that can exist without Me. The conclusion is total. After the examples comes the rule: no exceptions exist.

Try this today

The catalog's logic completed: not the best of each class only, but the very seed of all.

Something to reflect on

Can I find one thing, moving or unmoving, that owes nothing to anything?
