Yathora

The Gita · Chapter 10

Bhagavad Gita 10.40

नान्तोऽस्ति मम दिव्यानां विभूतीनां परंतप। एष तूद्देशतः प्रोक्तो विभूतेर्विस्तरो मया॥

nānto ’sti mama divyānāṁ vibhūtīnāṁ parantapa eṣha tūddeśhataḥ prokto vibhūter vistaro mayā

Translation

There is no end of My divine powers, O Parantapa. What has been declared is illustrative of My infinite glory.

What it means

There is no end to My divine glories; what I have spoken is only a sample of My immeasurable majesty. The list was illustrative, not exhaustive. Infinity cannot be enumerated, only indicated.

Try this today

The list was never exhaustive - it is a training set for perception.

Something to reflect on

When I mistake a sample for the whole, what do I stop seeing?
